catch ya in the blogosphere!
There is so much going on here at ULearn07, so much to post, so much to share, so many conversations and connections and learning. David Warlick would be proud of the rich, new conversations going on around here. I promise that over the next few days I will have digested and internalised all that I have experienced here over the past few days and I will post all. I’ve got audio to prepare for sharing as well. Everytime I’ve sat down at the Bloggers Cafe to write a post, I met someone new and shared or learnt about something new and so the posting has to wait. But that’s ok. I’ve met some really awesome people f2f like Allanah King, Rachel Boyd, Fiona Grant, Milly (who is new to blogging), Jarmin, Marnie and many, many more. Ewan McIntosh sat right down beside me at the blogger’s cafe table and we had a conversation about making connections, meeting so many people all in a short space of time. He’s so passionate and articulate about learning but so modest with it. I hope he realises just how much he is inspiring people here and follows our journeys for a little longer after he goes home just to see how far we take the ideas and the challenges he has spoken about.
A couple of things I’d really like to see at any ICT conference …… just a little more time inbetween each session so you can digest what you’ve just heard or been challenged by ….. some reflection time perhaps and most definitely ……a space big enough so that you’re not having to leave one place to rush off to another place so you don’t miss the start of your next workshop – time to stay and finish that new conversation that you’ve started with someone.
Well, that’s my time up …. got to get ready for the ULearn07 Conference Dinner – it starts in 10 minutes ….. do you think I’ll make it on time?

I’m feeling it, too – I’ve got about four HUGE posts that need writing, preferably before the weekend, just to keep me happy, let alone those who wanted links from my workshops and talk. And I’ve not seen half the sessions I would have liked. Hopefully the rapporteurs will have been doing their job. For once, I’m grateful for ‘official’ reports. Until everyone blogs it’s hard to get around everything in a conference like this.

[...] Chrissy has a point where in New Zealand is there that is big enough? Core Education, or whoever organises stuff like this does their best I’m sure but I missed lunch after my presentation and the following breakout because of the positions of the various venues. [...]

Ahhhh…. I feel you sister….
Conference is just over and I still feel like I’m recovering, I haven’t the strength currently to get those blog posts done… I will try and keep going tho as I am sure term 4 will take me over soon (plus report writing!)
You look at the timetable and think we’ve got heaps of time, but I’ve sure been dog tired today – and since both of us were up until 2am last night (NOT partying if you’re someone else reading this – we were working our butts off separately)….. my wet sponge routine today was inevitable I guess he he he.

Chrissy it was great to bump into you and to hopefully start a connection. My attitude to your charity car ride seemed to make you smile.
Maybe you will even progress to making the kinds of comparisons that I do to motivate children, then on the other hand you may not!
